OUR STORY

Laura Cox Collection started while I was working in advertising in Greenville, SC where I turned a trip to the craft store into a new career. I started by making necklaces that I sold out of my cubicle and on Etsy. After about a year of doing that, I made the decision to leave my 9-5 and pursue my own business. And here we are almost 10 years later with what has become Laura Cox Collection! I've gone from hand making everything at my kitchen table, to sourcing items I love from other amazing small business. I have gone from shipping each and every package as a one-woman show to growing so much that I now have a fulfillment center I partner with and also employ three other women who help me every step of the way.

In 2023, I launched a sister-brand, Moxie Mae Accessories, where I design and manufacture products that are sold at the retail level but also wholesale to other boutiques. This has really been such a dream of mine and I feel like it has giving me a chance to get back to my creative roots a little more.

And just recently, I have branch out into an entirely new market of fine jewelry. I have spent time taking courses through the Gemological Institute of America, and have received my certification as an Applied Jewelry Professional, and now perusing my Graduate Diamonds Degree. One thing I have learned over the last decade in business is that if you aren't evolving and change (and taking risks), you are not growing!

I have been married to my amazing husband, T, for 11 years, and am the proud mom to two boys (age 6 and 8). It was always a dream of mine to be a stay-at-home mom and I feel like I have the best of both worlds running my business and being able to spend time with them.
